Learners undertaking this course will already possess basic Photoshop knowledge and have
attended a beginner’s course.  

What will I learn on this course? 

Learners will gain an understanding of:  RGB/CMYK and pixel variations.  Specific pieces of artwork will be created using particular canvases and measurements.  You will be introduced to animation and create a simple animation. Learners will use the skills gained to produce a 12 month calendar.  Other skills include : hand tint, create paths, change paths into selections, create templates create brushes, patterns and stamps, use and record actions, use colour range, fit artwork to shapes, create a layer mask, use special photo effects, use the pattern maker, use the history brush, create an alphabet photo frame, use variations, use photo processes (bromoil, Sabatier, cyanotype, etc.)  Although there are no formal entry requirements, you will need a good standard of English to be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. (Equivalent to Entry Level 3 English. If you need support or assistance for a disability or learning difficulty, please talk to your tutor or course organiser.

What teaching/learning methods will be used? 
Practical hands-on experience with the guidance and support of the tutor. There will be demonstrations, handouts, group activities and discussions. 
What examination/accreditation is available?
There is no formal exam or accreditation. 
Will I need special equipment/materials/clothing/books? 
A notepad, pen and a folder to keep your work in.
