What will I learn on this course?

This course is for ESOL learners
who want to improve their IT skills and their knowledge of ICT words and
meanings.  If you have, or are working
towards ESOL Entry level 2 or 3 or English Level 1 and are attending an ESOL
class this course is for you. The course is suitable for people
who can already use a computer or have attended an ICT for ESOL class. You will
develop your skills in using the Internet to perform searches using different
search engines. You will gain an understanding of the need to stay safe whilst
working online.  Improve your email skills
by sending and receiving emails (with or without attachments).  Using Word Processing you will practice your
keyboard skills.  The course is designed to build your confidence,
giving lots of opportunity and encouragement to use the new language you learn
by taking part in group discussions and conversations, helping you to be
familiar with activities you will find in other computer classes. If you need support or assistance for a disability or learning difficulty, please talk to your tutor or course organiser.
